I recently moved into a new apartment that’s very quaint - a cute way of saying it's a little small but it's cozy and fits me and my belongings perfectly. But since I'm naturally organized, I am able to get creative with how I maximize my space and the products that I use to create functionality. Now one thing is for sure, no matter how small my space may be, clutter is never welcomed. So, when I got my hands on Samsill's - Pop'n Store Boxes, I was really surprised at how effective they were when it came to storing items that I didn't want to be visible.
Before I moved, I completed a mini-purge and I say mini purge because I tend to purge at least once a month which helps prevent a buildup. I strongly recommend that you purge your items beforehand whenever completing a move because it doesn't make sense to carry additional "stuff" from one space to the next. You actually end up creating more work for yourself if you don't purge beforehand.
The items that made it pass the purge are items that I didn't want to be left out on display nor did I want them to be packed away where I would have to go far to fetch them. Truth be told, I'm lazy in the sense that I like everything to be in it's place which makes it easier for me locate. It's one of the reasons why I'm an organizer.
So, the Pop’n Store boxes from Samsill – really came in handy. I actually had these boxes for over a few months and once I moved I was really able to put them to use. You may be thinking "what makes these so different from the other storage boxes that are out there on the market?" because I thought the same thing but I quickly found out why these boxes aren't your average storage box.
I have two sizes: medium document box and document box. In the two document boxes,
I used the document box to store some "miscellaneous items" that I'm not quite sure what to do with but at least they're all stored together. At least I know where they are and I don't have to search all over for them.
I was pleasantly surprised with the depth and width of the medium document box because the box has enough storage and durability to hold my Sega Genesis. How many of you remember Sega Genesis or better yet owned one? I told myself that I wouldn’t get rid of this gaming system because I was disappointed when I got rid of my original Nintendo game system. I may be contradicting myself with letting this item go but I plan to still play this video game system – lol sorry not sorry.
I use the other medium document box to store my CD's and DVD's and yes I still buy them! I know streaming is the way to go these days but I still love the feeling of unwrapping a CD from the plastic and looking at the visuals of the cover - for me it's an experience. Maybe one day, I will get down with the streaming but today isn't the day. I tend break out when I want to listen to a CD while I'm cleaning or when I'm in the mood to watch one of these classic movies.
So, here is why Pop'n Store Boxes is not your average storage box. They have the capability to bend and fold! When there isn't a use for them they can be folded so as not to take up space. Simply, lift up the flap inside, then bend at the corners so that it can become flat and you literally go from a box to a flat item that nests inside of the lid.
By having everything in it’s place, really makes my heart content. Since I know what’s exactly inside of the boxes, I forfeited using labels. But if you need a visual reminder to quickly recall the contents of your box then label away.
The Pop'n Store Boxes adds character and a touch of decor to my space but also provides functional storage for my CD's and DVD’s, Sega Genius and other miscellaneous items. When they’re not in use, I have the ability to fold them up so that they don't take up any space. I had a lot of fun styling my television stand with the Pop’n store boxes and love how it blends in with my fuzzy and soft rug from Home Goods - which was on sale by the way. I love a good bargain! I highly recommend you check out these boxes which are great for any space: office, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room, kids' playroom. Be sure to check them out so that you can organize your space in style!
